My hand and wheel priject is about 5 inches tall and about 5.5 inches wide. The shape of it is a vase, and the base is smaller than the edge. The part that i added to the outside to make it a hand and wheel project was a leaf on the side. I glazed the whole project blue and the leaf a suttle green. The contrast of the light green against the blue gives a natural effect of a leaf floating in a puddle of water.

My third theme choice project that i made is my over sized mug. The mug is about 8 inches wide and 6 inches tall. I glazed it dark blue/black with yellow splatters. The base of the mug is slightly smaller than the edge. The glaze represents the night turning into day and the oversized mug is something different because of its size but still simple because of its design.

My theme choice second project is my lidded vase. It is about 4 and a half inches tall and 3 inches wide. I glazed it white, with green leaves drawn on to it. The lid fits almost perfectly into the vase. The glaze and the shape represent nature and a silmplicity element is shown.

The tea pot that i made is about 4 inches tall, and 5 inches wide. The spout is somewhat short, and goes straight out, no curve. The handle is on the direct opposite side of the handle and the lid fits perfectly over the pot and it doesn't have a handle. The base is smaller than the top. I glazed it a solid shadow green throughout the entire project. The simnplicity of the components and glaze come together to make a tea pot that is simple and reflects nature with its earthy color.

The second plate that i made is about 8 inches in diameter. It is about 1 inch tall. The base is of course, smaller than the edge, and the edge is higher than the center of the plate. The glaze is half white, and half sand, with some yellow splattered across the whole thing. There was an accident in the ceramics room, where my plate was dropped. The damage wasn't too bad, but enough to chip off two fairly large chunks of the plate. I would glue it back together, but  one of the pieces that broke off is missing. Overall, the glaze, shape, and appearance of my plate make it bright and appearing large.

The plate i made is about 6 inches wide, and 1/2 inch thick. It is a perfect circle and the foot ring goes along nicely with the rest of the project. The glaze is half italian straw, and the other half mystery, which turned out to be a dark green/brown, which surprisingly turned out very nice. The two colors overlap in the middle of the plate creating a dimensional effect. All of the components of this project come together to create a plate that is simple yet complex with the unusual glaze.

For my theme choice project i made a bowl. The bowl is aboout 4 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The base is smaller than the edge. The glaze is a light blue, and then i dipped the top of the project in a dark blue so it dripped down the sides. The glaze and the simple shape of the project combine to make a simple project that has a little bit of flare to it.

The lidded wheel that i created is about 5 inches tall, and 3 inches wide. It is taller than it is wide, and the shape of it is a vase. I glazed the project a shadow green all over. There was an incident in the glaze room where the lid was dropped and broke in half. Other than that, the lid fits it perfectly. The all over color and smooth form of the vase makes for a simple and precise lidded vase.

The choice project i made is a bowl that is about 4 inches tall and 5 inches wide. I carved designs in all over the outside of the bowl with squiggly lines, spirals, zig zags, and all sorts of random designs. I glazed the entire project blue and then wiped it off the outside, so the only part of the bowl that is blue is the carved out spaces, and the inside of the bowl. The glaze inside the bowl and in the designs makes the designs seem to pop out of the bowl which makes for an intriquite detailed bowl.

For my set of three i created three bowls. They all have the same shape with the base smalleer than the edge. They are also all glazed a solid dark blue. However, they are all different because i made one a small size, about 2x3, one medium, about 3x4, and one large, about 4x5. All the components of the bowls make them alike but the size makes them different from each other.
